Sunday September 9th, afternoon (time tbc)
Join Jo and skipper Peter Baldwin on historic working boat Saltaire in Compton, near Birmingham. It's not a luxury setting so bring a warm coat, as you'll be in the hold of a former cargo-carrying narrowboat! A close-up on industrial archaeology and historic waterways, as part of Birmingham Book Festival. For more information or to book a place call 0121 246 2792. Sorry, no disabled access this time. Price £17 (£14 concessions) which gives you an hour-long boat trip and two-hour workshop.
To book a place, hear more or to tell me you have a better idea for a workshop, get in touch by e-mail, phone or snail mail.
